The associative name SEMBLANCE stands for a new real analogue synthesizer coming from the very productive English ‘smiths’ at Analogue Solutions.
The appearance of the equipment is not the only factor that rightly reminds us of the honourable Oberheim Sem Module, but the sought after classic is also easily recognisable in the sound of SEMBLANCE. Its sounds super fat, round, warm, lively and simply beautiful! Consciously, the SEMBLANCE does not want to be understood as a Sem clone, because its possibilities by far exceed the original. Besides 2 flexible modulateable oscillators, 2 characteristic envelope curves and the classic 12 dB multi mode filter you will discover an additional LFO, noise generator and clearly extended modulation possibilities. Don’t forget the SEMBLANCE filter can self oscillate. The possibilities to generate sound effects are therefore far better. The midi implementation smartly limits itself too the necessary, like note orders and filter control per velocity, or controller and LFO trigger. A SEMBLANCE specific polymode enables the group control of up to four appliances! Similar to the Oberheim Four Voice, the sound of such a combination should be unbeatable at this time.
