This device outputs the voltage corresponding to the position with 2,5kohm/100mm. This technology allows an infinite accuracy. For musical applications, controlling the pitch with a position ribbon will make a perfect continuous controller for glissandos and other theremin-like effects! This 50 cm position ribbon is like a linear potentiometer sensing position.
