Modular systems: theory and practice

A first part of the session will offer an theorical overview of synthesis and history of modular systems whilst during the second part, participants will practice with a complex modular synth.

Max/MSP for beginners. (Max/MSP 5.0 presentation if released). Session will be hold by Marc Sirguy, developper of Cycling'74 Pluggo's Essential Instruments.

Sensors : I build my own controller

New Interfaces and new ways of controls have become an essential part of music and images based arts. How to use these new interfaces? A theorical and practical approach of captation. Each participant to the session "sensors" will build his own controller from supplied components.

Theremin : history & theory, I build my own theremin

Each participant to the session "theremin" will build his own theremin from supplied components. From painting to mounting, this session offers an deep overview of the history of the instrument, technical theory, and a did it yourself theremin to bring back home!

Music Workshops in Rennes, France 2007 June 15-16
A worshop co-organised by Modular Square, Apple, Bose, Line6, IK Multimedia, E-Mu, Arturia, Moog to discover and try “instruments of tomorrow” says the press release.
