EDU DIY Wavefolder

With the mki x es.EDU Wavefolder DIY Kit you can build your own small but mighty Eurorack wavefolder.

Erica Synths and Moritz Klein have developed a series of educational DIY kits under the brand name mki x es.EDU with one specific goal in mind: to teach people with little-to-no prior experience how to design analog synthesizer circuits from scratch. What you’ll find in the box is not simply meant to be soldered together and then disappear in your rack. Instead, they want to take you through the circuit design process step by step, explaining every choice they’ve made and how it impacts the finished module.

This DIY kit contains all the parts you need to build your own wavefolder. This module is based on a bipolar junction transistor (BJT) and is a so-called double wavefolder. This more west-coast oriented module is a great addition to any system. Wavefolding is great for subtle or drastic effects and lets you add exciting overtones to your unexciting waves.

Please note: The do-it-yourself kit includes all the parts necessary to build this module. This is beginners kit, you need very few prior experience and basic hand tools (small screwdriver, soldering iron, etc.). We cannot assist with assembling/soldering the kit and take no responsibility if the kit does not work after self-assembly.
