The Befaco Octaves VCO offers an inventive and gritty take on additive oscillator design. By layering frequency multiples, it creates a distinctive square wave texture that evokes the charm of retro soundscapes. With six octave channels of dual-frequency pulses, each with PWM and individual volume controls, it offers a new approach to additive operations. Its cascading output functionality offers the choice of either combining all frequencies into one or separating them for individual modulation possibilities, making it an interesting playground for square wave architects.
