The already great øchd from Instruo and DivKid has a new friend. The expander delivers an additional 16 very special modulations.
The 8-fold triangle LFO øchd is immensely enriched by its expander! The Expander generates random voltages, triggers, has a Full Wave Rectifier and Max and Min Logic. All signals generated in the Expander result from the LFOs from øchd and thus always depend on the rate of these.
The expander is divided into four parts, each with four outputs. The first part outputs rectified, i.e. unipolar versions of waves 1, 3, 5 and 7 from øchd. Here, the negative parts of the initial wave are inverted, giving you a double-speed, positive-only triangle wave.
In the next section of the expander, øchd’s waves 2 and 3, as well as 6 and 7, are each combined in an analog maximum and minimum logic. The outputs then always output the highest or lowest value of each of the two waves. The resulting modulations are bipolar.
The third section generates triggers at the start of the rising edge of LFOs 2, 4, 6 and 8. The outputs are cascaded clockwise and are thus output collectively at the next output.
The bottom section generates four different random voltages. The LFOs are combined in different ways and in different arrangements and thus produce very different results. A look into the manual is worthwhile!
The little expander has four very creatively applicable sections to reinterpret the LFOs of your øchd. A powerful combination to make your modular system quiver.
