Mix, Attenuate, Invert, Offset, Mute – Doepfer’s 138j Inverting/Interrupting Mixer is a nice 4channel utility for all kinds of signals.
Each channel has a 3-way switch, that lets you decide whether to attenuate, invert or mute the incoming signal. Channel 1 can also deliver an Offset-voltage of +/-5V when nothing is plugged into the input. There are two Mix outputs – probably saving you a multiple or Stackcable. On Channel 1 and 2 there are also two outs each. When you use Out A, the signal is passed on to the Mix out. When using Out B, it gets removed.
The Module is DC-coupled, meaning it is suitable for all kinds of modular signals. With (just) 6HP it delivers a ton of applications, that is much needed in every rack.
