An Analog Filter Bank with 10 Bands and the power of digital control: The Graphic Resonant FB by Erica Synths.
The Graphic Resonant FB by Erica Synths takes inspiration from the Serge Resonant EQ in its choice of frequency bands. Except for the highest and lowest bands, the remaining eight bands are spaced a seventh apart. The result is a tonal character reminiscent of acoustic instruments.
What sets the Erica Synths module apart is its digital control over all parameters. This not only saves space and money but also enables possibilities that would be difficult to achieve with purely analog setups.
The sleek black and yellow display always shows the positions of all bands, allowing you to adjust the volume of individual bands using an encoder. Of course, you can also adjust multiple bands simultaneously and via CV. Additionally, an optional expander is planned, which will allow direct control of the bands.
Moreover, the module can emulate traditional filters, a feat made possible by its digital control. It features low-pass, band-pass, high-pass, and notch filter modes. One of the most exciting features is the ability to save presets and recall them via trigger. This enables sequential control of the filter bank, which is excellent for sound design and live performances.
Overall, it’s a fantastic concept that greatly enhances the Graphic series by Erica Synths.
