Super Sawtor from Happy Nerding — Second iteration supersaw magic in just 4HP.

The Super Sawtor is back in a more practical form-factor, shrunk down to 4HP. This module takes an incoming waveform and transforms it into a thick, harmonic-rich unison effect. By adding detuned harmonics, it captures the essence of the classic smearing supersaw sound from Roland’s JP-8000, obviously with the benefits of being modular and with all the wonderful options that come with that.

Unlike classic sawtooth animators, which simulate several phase-shifted oscillators for a wider sound, the Super Sawtor directly layers new harmonics into your signal. The effect is more apparent with simple waveforms, sawtooth, triangle, or sine, but of course – one is always free to experiment 🙂

With the Spread control, you can tweak the detune amount either manually or via CV, while the Mix knob blends the processed signal with the original. Fully analog and free from aliasing, this module is capable of coloring your sounds in rich, lush, detuned, unison magic.
