Instruō’s dhà – Compact 4hp Stereo Mixer
The Scottish masters of curious aesthetics strike again with a compact mixer designed to tackle the classic Eurorack challenge: mixing stereo signals without eating up your precious rack space. At just 4HP wide, this slim mixer handles two stereo channels while leaving room for the sound generators that actually need the space.
The upper channel isn’t just a passive mixer – it includes a proper VCA with CV control, letting you fade sounds in and out with external modulation. Both channels have smooth, musical level controls (through audio-tapered level potentiometers) that avoid the awkward jumps found in less well-executed mixers.
Being an Instruō module, it plays nicely with its siblings. If you look at the back, you’ll find extra jacks designed to link up directly with other dhà modules, or Instruō’s larger mixers like càrn and cuïr. This keeps your patching clean on the front panel when building a bigger mixing setup within their ecosystem.
It’s a simple tool, done well. Clean audio path, useful VCA on one channel, and that smart expandability make it a solid addition for managing stereo sources efficiently.
Features:
- Compact stereo two-channel mixer
- Integrated stereo two-quadrant VCA on top channel with CV input
- Audio-tapered level potentiometers for smoother level control
- Back jack connectivity expansion to dhà, càrn, and cuïr
- Clean signal path for transparent stereo mixing
