The Mimetic Digitwolis is a comprehensively equipped multi-track sequencer with many modern features in a small space.
The successor to the classic Cartesian performance sequencer Mimetic Digitalis, this four-channel sequencer combines flexible routing with advanced functions such as quantization, MIDI integration and internal clock. The second edition has been fundamentally redesigned and offers a new interface that makes it easier to use while significantly expanding its range of functions.
Each of the four channels can be configured individually. Various output types are available, including modulation CV, pitch CV, trigger or gates. Alternatively, a channel can also be used as a quantizer for external CV. Sequences can comprise up to 16 steps and can be navigated both linearly (forward and backward) and Cartesian in various arrangements, such as 4×4 or 5×3. In addition, internal clock dividers can be applied to the individual tracks. Control is flexible: sequences can be run through any external trigger source, addressed with external CV or synchronized via external MIDI clocks.
Mimetic Digitwolis places particular emphasis on variability and expression. The step randomization (shred) function allows for spontaneous variations within a sequence. The familiar shred parameter from the original Mimetic Digitalis can be triggered both manually and externally. For precise control, the outputs of the CV and pitch tracks can be limited to specific value ranges. Parameters set in this way are also taken into account by the Shred parameter.
