Morphos

The Norand Morphos is an incredibly powerful oscillator, with unique sound design capabilities.

3D Morphing? Contextual Modulation? – very cool stuff! The Morphos lets you save parameter settings (presets) and then morph through them. You can either do this with CV, or you can use the two touch sensitive strips. These then detect whether you are pressing up, down, lightly or firmly and then fade between the presets and the three layers. Not only is this a lot of fun, but it also lets you create great, ever-changing sounds in no time at all.

Some people would say that the Morphos is too big and takes up too much space in the system. But Norand had a great idea. All CV inputs can be modulated by the internal modulation sources. So no modulation sources would be necessary here, since the Morphos has eight modulation oscillators (LFO) and another eight envelope generators. The latter need a trigger at the CV input.
Last but not least, the Thru-Zero-FM frequency modulation (TZFM) should be mentioned. The oscillators are tuning stable even at high TZFM and track v/oct over 10(!) octaves.
