Bard Quartet is a versatile programmable quad quantizer with arpeggiator and microtonality modes.

The Shakmat Modular Quantizer combines many of the features we’ve seen in quantizer development in recent years. It has a playable 1-octave keyboard that displays the selected (=allowed) notes and the active note. You can set up the module as an arpeggiator, program your own scales and explore microtonality. The module can store up to 320 scales (4 channels, 8 harmonies, 10 memory locations).

Four quantization channels, which can be used grouped or independently, are ideal for shaping compositions and adding harmonic versatility to your instrument.

Sometimes when you want to compose something harmonic, quantizers can be a real bonus in the Eurorack realm. You can feed them pretty much any CV and get a harmonically tailored control voltage. Even if you have sequencers that output quantized pitch CVs, it’s handy to have a quantizer on hand for additional playing possibilities, perhaps microtonality – if your sequencer can’t do that, or to bring multiple sequences together with a quad quantizer like Bard Quartet.
