The Touellskouarn Distresañ is a characterful analog 3-band stereo equalizer for the Eurorack modular system.
The Distresañ is inspired by the sound of an old French germanium mixer! It offers DJ mixer-like equalization and a powerful analog sound. Distresañ allows fast, intuitive sound manipulation both by hand and by control voltage.
As a dual cut/boost EQ, it enables both the cut and boost of frequency bands. Key features include stereo inputs and outputs, adjustable high (±14 dB @ 15 kHz), mid (±8 dB @ 1 kHz) and low (±10 dB @ 30 Hz) frequencies and independent settings for each band in the stereo field. Simple CV inputs for the highs and lows allow dynamic modulation.
A rear panel jumper attenuates the input by 20 dB and can be removed for additional gain, so even line level signals can be processed directly.
The device fits seamlessly into existing Eurorack systems and expands their versatile sound processing possibilities – in stereo!
Features:
- Stereo inputs and outputs
- 3-band EQ, cut and boost: Hi (±14dB@15 kHz), Mid (±8dB@1kHz), Lo (±10db@30Hz)
- Stereo EQ offset per band
- CV input for highs and lows (animation of the stereo field)
- Jumper attenuates the input by 20dB, removing the jumper increases the gain: so that line levels do not require additional amplification
