Vermona brings their legendary drum synthesis expertise to Eurorack. After nearly 30 years of crafting the beloved DRM1 drum machine in their Erlbach workshop, they’ve distilled its essential KICK and DRUM channels into a powerful Eurorack module.

This isn’t just a simple port – Vermona has completely reworked the circuits for the modular environment. The result? A module that honors its heritage while expanding into new territory. The familiar DRM1 character is immediately recognizable, but now with vastly expanded modulation capabilities. That makes this module in many ways much more flexible!

Modulate oscillator pitch, decay times, and even the waveshaper to create evolving kicks or percussion full of variation. Its DYNAMIC input affects not just volume but the entire character of the sound by altering the amount of force your trigger source applies to its internal circuitry.

Already apparent in its name is its dual nature. Switch between drum and oscillator modes to craft either earth-shaking kicks or growling basslines that track 1V/oct perfectly. The waveshaper adds distinctive harmonics that recall the DRM1’s grit while also opening up new timbral possibilities.

The circuit design of BASS|DRUM lets you go from subsonic thuds to snappy, metallic pings. Add some external modulation and suddenly those familiar analog drum sounds transform into chirping percussion or singing harmonics — this is the tried and trusted engineering from the DRM1 brought into the world of today.
