Catalyst Controller

The 4ms Catalyst Controller is the central control unit in your Eurorack system. It can handle presets, chords and even CV recording!

Some people claim that there are no presets in the Eurorack. This is not necessarily true, because all you need is a module that can memorize and recall CV values. This was already done in 1973 in the old Serge panels and can of course be done much better and more complex with today’s equipment.

Catalyst Controller has a total of 8 CV/gate outputs that can store different settings in up to 64 scenes. This means you have 64 presets, each with 8 settings, to change your entire system by trigger, CV or hand movement. This changeover can even be done very smoothly, allowing you to fade between scenes seamlessly. Very interesting for live performances!
The Catalyst Controller also has a few more aces up its sleeve. You can record and playback incoming CV or fader movements, quantize the generated voltages or create random settings.

Catalyst Controller is secretely Catalyst Sequencer. Just enter a certain command to change the mode. If you want to stick to this transformation, just flip the frontplate and reveal the Sequencer artwork.
