Attenuverter / Mixer / Multiple / Offset Generator
Junction is a jack-of-all-trades for signal processing. The module can be used as an attenuator, mixer, multiple, offset generator or fixed voltage source. All this is possible due to the clever cascading/normalization of the inputs and outputs.
The first channel input is normalized to +5V if no cable is plugged in. A buffered copy of the first channel’s input signal is applied to all other inputs. This duplication is “cascading” as shown by the arrow graphic. When a cable is plugged into any input, it “breaks” the cascading.
Junction channels are mixed at the outputs. The output mixer is also “cascading”. When a cable is connected to an output, it carries a mix of its own output and all unpatched outputs above it. For example, if only the last output is patched, that output carries a mix of all outputs.
