Dual four-quadrant multiplier with voltage controlled offset. Each of the two sections can be used in a number of ways, for instance as a voltage controlled polarizer, as a ring modulator or as a VCA. Used together both sections can form a four-channel mixer.
Each section is equipped with the inputs A and B with their signals being multiplied (A*B), as well as input C which adds a offset voltage to the multiplication (A*B+C). The result is available at the according output.
Input A is injected directly to the ring modulator, input B is scaled with an polarizer with gain factor 2. Input C has a regular attenuator without amplification.
As the output of the upper section is normalized to the mixer stage of the bottom section, output 2 will emit a mix of up to four channels.
