Neutron Flux, wow, what a name! Not to mention that Neutron Flux is a very capable, digitally controlled, analog four-pole stereo filter or eight-pole mono filter with variable sound character, boost, overdrive and enough CV inputs to animate everything wonderfully.

Neutron Flux promises to mimic almost any classic filter and to be able to reach completely unimagined regions. The digital control of the analog circuitry is indeed very promising when it comes to accurate sound shaping. The module is based on two 4-pole filter cores: These can be operated in stereo, in mono divided to stereo or as an 8-pole mono filter chained together for an almost LPG-like steep edge. The character of the filter can be set by default in five different states, all of which have their own special features, which can be easily derived from their names.

Overload: Long pressure on the pole switch activates the overload circuit. Most of the audible distortion occurs at the first filter stages, which range from clean to warm saturation to hard distortion. In all cases, the drive pot acts as a volume control, while the overdrive function switches between two different ranges.

Stereo: This control distributes the light-dark boundary between the L and R channels, causing a VCO-like drift. This way a mono signal can be split into a wide stereo signal. The stereo effect is not like a micro delay or chorus, but something else. It is more like an animated binaural, incongruent equalizer-like effect.
