Locutus

Rossum Electro Locutus acts as an interface between the Assimil8or sample module and MIDI instruments, controllers or sequencers.

Locutus opens up new possibilities for multi-channel modulation and expanded polyphonic possibilities in conjunction with the Assimil8or Multi-Timbral Phase Modulation sampler, developed by Dave Rossum, the inventor of the legendary EMu SP-1200 samplers. With the Locutus interface, for example, MIDI to CV outputs previously occupied by Assimil8or can be “freed up” in your system for other uses.
